A walk in the park
"Hi Geese, I'm Max"

Once Matt had taken the boards - which he passed - we had a little time to relax. This was a day out in Georgetown which turned into a play at the park. Max was quite taken by the geese. When he first saw them he went skipping up to a grown of them exclaiming "Hi Geese, I'm Max". They didn't respond as he had anticipate but all took flight and then landed in the lake. He thought this was fabulous and went around finding all the geese he could and running up to them waving his arms and shouting "fly geese".
Ready, Set ....

Jumping in Sam's bed

reclining in mum's lap. Sam is a real softee and likes to be held alllllll the time.

Jacobsen park at night

I love tools too

The first thing Max usually asks for in the morning is his football boots "boot on?". Matt thought it would be cute if Max had his own cleats for when he went to watch him play softball and for playing at the park. Little did we know he would want to sleep and eat in the darn things too. We have had many tantrums because he cannot wear his boots to go to a friend's house or to church. Be careful what you buy thinking it to be a fun gimmick - it may become more a part of your life than you imagine.

Here is Max fresh out of bed in the morning with half his Pajamas still on, wearing his boots and Daddy's helmet and carrying his screw driver while he pushes his lawn mower. This was a good morning.

his little brother Sam,
oh, and Daddy too.
As I was putting in these pictures of Sam getting into the dishwasher and fireplace I had major deja vous from a year and a half ago when posting almost the exact same pictures of Max. For anyone interested go to our old blog http://mattsarahandmax.blogspot.com/ and look at the January and february postings. Did we just have the same baby all over again??
Some of Sam's favourite things are currently..
not having his continually nasty nose wiped,
plus, the dogfood, the pizza stone, the washing machine (which we occasionally find running an empty cycle), any kitchen items which he can drag out of cupboards, and his all time favourite - the toilet!

a taste of birthday
Happy first birthday Sam!!!!!!!!! What a wonderful time Sam had for both his real birthday and his big party on Saturday. Thank you to everyone who joined in.
Here is a little sample of his birthday fun. I love the part in the middle of the video when he tries to get his whole face down in to the cake. The full birthday posting is to follow - along with all the rest of the summer pictures. Computer time is limited with two destructive boys.
